ROBERT SCOTT - Writer/Composer/Producer
Ivor
Novello Award winning songwriter David Matthews says:
“I personally regard Robert Scott as a very talented composer with an ability
to write strong melodies combined with simple yet original lyrics. In Dolterris
his writing has matured and in my opinion the songs which I’ve heard so far,
demonstrate all the highest standards required for a West End musical.”
Robert Scott found his creative drive at the age of 3 when he started to teach himself music he heard on the television and radio. He soon progressed into writing short stories for his classmates at the age of 5 and was writing music at the age of 15. But it wasn’t until 2006 Robert Scott started his musical writing and directing debut. His first musical was a gothic version of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST in May 2006 which became an instant sell-out. His next show BIZARRE in December 2006 received much praise in the local community and brought him to the attention of a west-end director. In 2007 Robert Scott wrote, composed, directed and produced the musical demo-motion picture DOLTERRIS which much praise and set himself and several cast members sights on London productions. Robert Scott currently owns the theatre company UTOPIAN ARTISTS LTD alongside friend and director Luci Fitzpatrick and together they put on their first play in February 2008 entitled THE TRUTH OF A LIE. His next ventures include co-writing, composing and producing MOONLIT SKY to be performed in the west-end this July.
LUCI FITZPATRICK - Writer/Director
Luci
Fitzpatrick begun acting in 1995 in which she played the lead in THE JUNGLE
BOOK in a local production. After joining Burton Youth Theatre at the
age of 11, her passion for acting grew, helped by the starting of secondary
school (William Allitt School of Performing Arts). Luci
has also performed such shows as CATS, ANNIE, OLIVER, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS,
RETURN TO THE FORBIDDEN PLANET, ALADDIN and twice performed the TIE show LUCKY
ONE. She also starred in Tim Smiths short film - SCHOOLBOY.
Her previous directed show was FAME in June 2007. Recently,
Luci played the part of Clebo in the musical DOLTERRIS, a demo
motion picture for directors and producers in the West-end. It is here that she
met Robert Scott and formed the company UTOPIAN ARTISTS LTD. Their
first show together, THE TRUTH OF A LIE saw Luci direct her first
straight play.
Currently
writing many productions, several considered for the BBC, Luci still
enjoys acting and recently performed in SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER
and in a co-written show RECYCLE PETS a hugely popular touring
comedy sketch show. She will be making
her west-end debut later this year as she directs MOONLIT SKY to be
shown in July this year.
